Annette was born in Livingstone, Zambia and spent most of her childhood days at the Victoria Falls and the Zambezi river where wildlife was abundant. Days were spent fishing, boating and helping out on the farm her parents owned.
Having this infused at an early stage in her life, Annette soon developed a passion for all animals, wild and domestic, drawing the line at reptiles! Visiting friends who had cheetahs in their homes as pets was not uncommon.
